When exploring Jackson Township, it is easy to see how New Paris was dubbed “the garden spot”. River Preserve County Park, the largest park in Elkhart County calls New Paris home. (You won’t want to miss the DeFries Gardens!) Baintertown Park includes historic canals, wetlands, and amazing hiking trails. Sunnyside Park offers an “in-town” place to relax, play pickleball, fish, and offers indoor and outdoor pavilions for rent. For a change of pace the quarter-mile New Paris Speedway has been thrilling race fans with high-octane shows for over seventy five years.

Founded in 1836, New Paris is an unincorporated, census designated community. Located in Jackson Township, we are just six miles south of Goshen in the southern half of Elkhart County, Indiana.
